If you combined the words Disney and hill you’d get “Disnihil.†If you combined the fast-melodic-heavy punk/hardcore feel of From Ashes Rise and Tragedy you’d get “Disnihil.†Although Disnihil isn’t as melodic as Tragedy, they make up for it with their tight dynamics that add character to the harsh sound. After pummeling the listener in “Sinking Ship (Apostate),†Tom and Andrew scream, “SCREAMING PRAYERS AS THE SHIP GOES DOWN…GOES DOWN!†This is followed by a breakdown with the occasional metal riff. The vocals aren’t on the low end like Tragedy or His Hero Is Gone, but higher like From Ashes Rise. The lyrics aren’t very positive; they are dark with political overtones. “Caught in the throes of war, this militaristic plague. Fevered dreams of dominance passed on again and again.†This demo hit me out of nowhere and will not disappoint. Even if you don’t like Disney and hills.
