If your name is He-Man, you're probably aware that Skeletor is your arch nemesis and that his headquarters is Greyskull. But, assuming you've never been inside those wretched Greyskull walls, you might be curious what kind of music Skeletor listens to while plotting your demise. Pop in Greyskull's demo and within minutes Skeletor will have come pouncing in through your bedroom wall with his minions in tow. Upon his legs you will find some crucial camou shorts covered in black and white patches, one of which displays, "His Hero Is Gone." While Greyskull is definitely heavy, they're not as heavy as HHIG, but they certainly make up for it with a faster sound featuring loads of circle pit/2-step parts, and a dash more metal riffage. The vocals aren't as deep as HHIG, but have more of a hardcore edge to them. What many might not know is that Skeletor is an avid fan of socially conscious lyrics- Greyskull's demo deals with a number of relevant topics such as homophobia, sexism, racism, the environment, etc. If you like darker hardcore, Greyskull is definitely worth your time. I'm sure in time these guys will be able to trump the His Hero Is Gone comparisons and, like our plucky friend Skeletor, attempt to destroy the world.
