Greetings to everyone that visits Scene Point Blank, regular or just a passer-by that has stumbled upon our little domain.  I will be taking a slight vacation for the next week, with news updates and review postings taking a little break.  Never fear, for if something catastrophic were to happen - like Slayer becoming a Christian rock band or Hannah Montana marrying Patrick Stump - we'll be sure to cover it.  If you have  any major issues that need resolved, please contact our website magician Matt Andrews.  See you in a week!

Just a heads up that we've added a couple of exclusive contests in the past week. I Rise have posted the song "Status Call" from their upcoming full-length, For Redemption, online here. The album is due out this Summer via 1917 Records.  The band previously released a demo, split with Soul Control, and an EP.

Bitter End will be releasing a new 7" through Malfunction Records this year. The band released their debut full-length, Climate of Fear, last year.

Internal Affairs have posted a new track titled "Guilty" online here. The band released Deadly Visions last year.

Deathwish Inc. has announced the signing of End of a Year. The band has released several recordings over the years since forming in 2003. They released Sincerely via Revelation Records in 2006.

End of a Year are currently working on their debut offering for the label and will soon embark on a European tour before appearing at Sound & Fury Festival in California later this Summer.

Cult of Luna have posted the song "Eternal Kingdom" from their upcoming full-length album here. The album of the same name is slated for July 8th release on Earache Records.

Gnarls Barkley's video for the single "Going On" has been posted online here. The song is taken from the band's second album, The Odd Couple, which is out now.

SJ Esau will release his sophomore effort for Anticon Records on June 24th. The album, Small Vessel, is comprised of fourteen tracks and the tracklisting is as follows:

A documentary titled "Open Windows" about the making of Death Cab for Cutie's new full-length, Narrow Stairs, has been made available online here.

Seventh Rule Recordings has announced the signing of Light Yourself on Fire.  The band will release their upcoming EP, Intimacy, this Fall. The effort was recorded by Mark Nikolich (Torche, Kylesa) and mastered by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Nile).  You can stream the track "Love and Death" from the effort here.

Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids/The New Amsterdams fame will be releasing his debut solo record, entitled Confidence Man, via Vagrant Records on July 29th.  You can stream the song "Loralai" from the album online here.

sBACH - Spencer of Hella/The Advantage - has posted three tracks from his debut offering online here. The album is due out August 19th via Suicide Squeeze Records.

Beck will release his newest full-length effort and follow-up to 2006's The Information this Summer. The album was produced by Danger Mouse and is comprised of ten tracks.
