Posted by Michael on Thursday 10th March, 2005 Pelican recently checked in with an update concerning their many upcoming releases. First off the band's upcoming EP will be out April 12th. The EP will be released on both CD and vinyl and contain two tracks: "March Into the Sea" - a 20 minute opus and a remix of "Angel Tears" by Justin Broadrick (Jesu, Godflesh). The band's full-length, The Fire in our Throats Beckons the Thaw, will contain seven songs and is slated for a June release again on CD and vinyl. Both of these will be released by Hydrahead Records. Finally, the band's split release with Mono still has no date set, but will be issued by Hydrahead/Temporary Residence.
Pelican also has several tours in the works. They will be doing select shows in April with Zombi in the US, then in Japan with Mono in July and finally another US run with "special guests" in late summer.
