Thurston Moore solo disc

Thurston Moore, formerly of Sonic Youth, will release a new solo album titled The Best Day on Oct. 21 via Matador Records.

The new LP is Moore's first solo effort since 2010's Demolished Thoughts and includes musicians James Sedwards of Nought (guitar), Deb Googe of My Bloody Valentine (bass), and Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth (drums).

Moore will be touring this fall with Sebadoh.
