Hear the first song from Curezum

Posted by Loren on October 26, 2015

Noisey is streaming "One Hundred Years" today, the first song released by extreme metal and supergroup Curezum, a Cure cover band.

The band features Mort Subite (Megaton Leviathon), Martti Hill (Barrowlands), and Billy Anderson (Melvins, Tribes of Neurot).

“Despite how silly the idea seems, this is a serious project,” Subite says, stressing the tonal overlap between The Cure's various styles--punk, nihilism, and psychedelc--and those covered in metal.

Check out the song at the link above. "One Hundred Years" originally appears on The Cure's Pornography.
