The Austerity Program and Nonagon have teamed up to launch a new laben named Controlled Burn Records. The label comes in the aftermath of Hydra Head's reconfiguration and the label plans to remain an "artist run" company.

A statement explaining the label's creation was issued:

We absolutely loved being on Hydra Head. But when they pretty much folded, we realized that we would only be good in the long run if we just figured out how to run a label on our own. This does mean more work and less playing/writing music (or at least it has over the past 1/2 year), but it also means that we can do what we like to the extent we can afford it.
