Initially released late last year on Japanese label Diwphalanx, Pink now finds a worldwide release through Southern Lord. It also see's the band at their scuzzy rock best. Similar in sound in many ways to their 2005 Southern Lord release, Akuma No Uta, but upping the ante considerably with tighter more memorable songs. Tracks like "Regardless it is not Separable" blow their way out of my (and hopefully your) speakers making the wooden floor below me (do you have a wooden floor? Looks nice but bad insulation) vibrate like a motherfucker. Never the one trick pony Boris throws in 60's psychedelic elements into some tracks ("False Bread"), ambient moments into others ("Parting", "My Machine") and yet others with a thick classic Boris drone ("Blackout"). One of the bands most diverse records, and in turn one of their best. Especially recommended for anyone as yet not well versed in the world of Boris.
