HOSTAGE CALM "S/T" Full-Length Up For Pre-Order

Run For Cover Records has launched the pre-order for the upcoming sophomore full-length from Connecticut melodic punk/hardcore/rock band HOSTAGE CALM. The group has undergone a substantial evolution in sound since their Lens release, adding a substantial pop element to the music. Run For Cover describes it as “expansive and deranged pop music” that recalls THE SMITHS and early BEATLES. I like the choice of “deranged.” Three songs from the release are up on the band’s MySpace page. The record lands in stores on July 20th.
