Iron Lung Records has announced Once Again The Present Becomes The Past, a new LP by Alien Nosejob (aka Jake Robertson). Having released Suddenly Everything Is Twice As Loud earlier this year, Robertson is back with a new record described as "finally high-octane hardcore punk side" of the band. Unlike its predecessor, which genre-hopped within the general garage-punk realm, Once Again... is more comparable to the project's HC45 7".

The record releases Oct. 2 on Iron Lung (USA) and Anti Fade Records (Australia).

It seems that Jake Robertson spent a lot of the past year playing with himself. But haven’t we all? Bad jokes aside, the one-man band put out multiple full-lengths in 2020 and now a new 6-song EP too. Overall, the project is diverse, falling generally within the punk umbrella but different influences scattered as Robertson feels like it. But this … Read more

Al Smith (Geld-vocals) SPB: What is the most overrated guitar feature? Smith: It may seem rich to bemoan something Geld has casually lent on in our last few records, but the “howl of cicadas” guitar tone feels pretty played out at this point. I mean, don’t get me wrong, a … Read more
