Dis Fig and The Body will release Orchards of a Futile Heaven
The Body and Dis Fig - Orchards of a Futile Heaven

Surprise, surprise, The Body is back with another collaboration, this time a record make in tandem with Dis Fig. The record, named Orchards Of A Futile Heaven, will release on Feb. 23, 2024 via Thrill Jockey.

The band also shared the lead single, "Holy Lance" (below), which blends The Body's guitar-led atmospheric elements with a droning accordion from Dis Fig (Felicia Chen). The project uses distortion and tonal effects to push the boundaries of so-called heavy music.

In addition to the record, the collaboration will tour in 2024, planning dates in the US, UK, and Europe.

Orchards of a Futile Heaven tracklist:

  1. Eternal Hour
  2. To Walk a Higher Path
  3. Dissent, Shame
  4. Orchards of a Futile Heaven
  5. Holy Lance
  6. Coils of Kaa
  7. Back to the Water
