Mars Volta lyrics begin to make sense

Posted by Matt on January 13, 2005

GSL has posted the full lyrics/story booklet behind 2003's epic De-loused In The Comatorium by prog/salsa/afro-rockers The Mars Volta. The book is a 13 page epic that intermingles (okay, I got a dictionary for christmas) lyrics with a bizarre story detailing the life of their fictional character Cerpin Taxt, who is the focus of the record's lyrics. The GSL site also states: 5. Are all the "typos" and mis-spellings intentional? Yes. The book is exactly how the band intended it. The book is available here, if you're up for some over-wordy and somewhat pretentious reading.

The Fall of Hearts
Peaceville (2016)

Katatonia’s evolution over their twenty five year career has been one that’s taken in doom, death metal, gothic soundscapes and progressive beats, but more than anything, a deeply felt emotional tie to the music has been found within.
