Pelican provided a lengthy update about recent happenings with band on their website. Among the topics mentioned was the fact that the band has been working on new material. In addition Pelican took a break from their last tour to record a totally different version of "Mammoth" from their debut EP that they'll be mixing soon. The band is hopeful that it'll turn into a 12" single or something of the sort. The band will be heading out on the road for six-weeks of shows in the US and Canada, including stints with Mono, Russian Circles, The Life and Times, and Tarentel.
