New Julien Baker 7" "Funeral Pyre"

Posted March 22, 2017, 10:26 p.m. in Bands by Zach Branson

21-year-old Memphis singer-songwriter Julien Baker just released a new 7" for her song "Funeral Pyre" and B-side "Distant Solar Systems." In case the title doesn't give it away, "Funeral Pyre" continues Baker's relentless-but-gentle depictions of depression and suffering. This is her first release since signing with Matador Records.

Matador Records also recently re-released her debut, Sprained Ankle; Scene Point Blank's review can be found here.

Baker will be touring with The Decemberists, Conor Oberst, and Belle & Sebastian:
