Death Cab for Cutie are giving fans a chance to listen to a new track ahead of the release of their new album, Asphalt Meadows -- available September 16th via Atlantic Records. To access the new track, "Rand McNally," fans will have to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt that involves going to one of the 800 locations the band has played in their 25-year tenure or will be playing on their upcoming tour. Dates below. The band comments on "Rand McNally":

This song was written for everyone we toured with back in the day, for everyone who let us sleep on their floor and for past bandmates. After all these years, they deserve their own folk song. But also a promise to keep going and keep creating.

Death Cab for Cutie will also be hosting a "Live From Home" on September 12th to celebrate the release of Asphalt Meadows and benefit reproductive rights non-profit, The Brigid Alliance, The band will be performing songs from the record, hosting a Q+A, as well as talk about the new album.
