Morrissey Turns Down The Smiths Reunion

Here's an interesting note passed along by Morrissey's publicist that you'll likely to see plastered across the Internet everywhere you look.  Morrissey was approached with a lucrative offer to tour under The Smiths moniker - so long as guitarist Johnny Marr was involved - in 2008 and/or 2009. What kind of offer? How about a $75 million offer!  That makes The Smiths rejection of an offer to play Coachella Festival this year for $5 million seem like chump change. Instead, you can catch Morrissey on tour this Fall in the U.S. supporting his latest solo offering, Ringleader of the Tormentors, which his publicist has stated will be his last “for the foreseeable future."
