New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert recently underwent surgery to have part of his thyroid removed after suspicious cell growth was found in a cyst. There were initially concerns about cancerous growth, but a biopsy found no cancer. As a result of the operation Gilbert will miss the first few dates of New Found Glory's upcoming tour. Bayside guitarist Anthony Raneri will be filling in for him until he returns.
