Despite this not being music related, I think it belongs here. Hunter S. Thompson, 67, took his own life this weekend by way of a self inflicted gun wound. The writer of such novels as "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "The Rum Diary," and several other notable books was undoubtedly a huge influence on the music scene we all take part of. Condolences go out to his family.
