While it was initially thought to be a hiatus, Cedric Bixler-Zavala announced via Twitter that he was no longer a member of The Mars Volta and that it was over. He then continued to thank the fans for all the years of support while taking a few jabs at Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's new band, Bosnian Rainbows.
Cedric is currently working on a new solo album which he states will "see the light of day soon."
