Lightning Bolt Book Summer Tour

Posted April 14, 2010, 5:27 a.m. in Tours by Jon E.

If you've never seen Providence noise-rock terrorists Lightning Bolt live, we've got some tips on how you can simulate the experience. First, find a construction site. Position yourself somewhere close to a jackhammer. Then, start a massive shove-fight with a few hundred of your closest, sweatiest friends. Then, get some dude in a terrifying knit mask to scream in your face. Instant Lightning Bolt show!

Or, if you don't feel like going to all that trouble, just go see one of the shows on the band's forthcoming U.S. tour.

Lightning Bolt's dizzying live show has traditionally been best experienced in a dank basement or piss-smelling loft space, but the band will also play some legit clubs on their big summer tour. They'll also be on hand at our very own Pitchfork Music Festival, which should be a trip. Dates below.
