Einstürzende Neubauten Plan Anniversary Tour

Posted Sept. 14, 2010, 12:13 p.m. in Tours by Jon E.

The Berlin-based noise cult Einstürzende Neubauten were one of the inventors of industrial music in the 80s. They've now been a band for 30 years, which means they've wrecked an amazing number of eardrums over time. To celebrate that big anniversary, Neubauten will spend the rest of the year trekking all over Europe and North America with a two-pronged anniversary tour.

In each city they visit, Neubauten will stage two events. For one, they'll play a standard Neubauten show featuring music from throughout their career. You may or may not see metal bent into some unnatural shapes. The other, billed as "An Evening With Einstürzende Neubauten", will be an ""intimate multidisciplinary experience," according to a press release.

During the "Evening With", the band will show films, exhibit photography, host workshops and lectures, and conduct a Q&A with fans. Individual members of the band will also do solo performances.
