Reaching Hand – Threshold — Chorus of One/Thorp, 2008

We are off to Portugal for this five-piece female-fronted hardcore band. Reaching Hand play mid-tempo to fast chunky hardcore with nasally high pitched vocals. All the photos looks like the audience is having the time of their lives singing along and getting sweaty as the band jumps around on stage. If you liked Comeback Kid or even Have Heart and are wondering what they would sound like with a girl singing for them, then by all means check out Reaching Hand. Although Threshold doesn't add anything new to the genre they are quite good at what they do, at least enough to want to keep their CD around. So kudos to them.

It’s a record about what happens after the blowup, when the noise dies down and you’re left alone with the quieter, harder questions. Across these four tracks, the … Read more
