With the demise of Some Girls and the considerable downtime of The Locust, Justin Pearson got the itch to do something new. He teamed up with fellow Some Girls cohort Nathan Joyner and Maniqui Lazer's Jung Sing to form All Leather

All Leather ventures towards slightly different territory that previous Pearson projects, and yet there is still that distinct sound that one has come to expect from his output. Hung Like a Horse is a five-song EP that walks the line between electronica, punk, grindcore, and dance-pop. If you could imagine a battle between of The Locust and any bass-heavy dance/raver music you'd be along the right line. "As the Hog Pisseth" is as accessible as Pearson has ever been, his vocals are decipherable. Some songs are more dance-oriented ""Audios Mi Amoebas" while others venture closer towards screamo "We're Skrewed."

All Leather isn't for everyone - that is for sure. If you haven't enjoyed any previous material from the individuals involved I doubt you'll find All Leather worth your time. It is polarizing, even for those that have heard it all.

Between The Buried And Me are seasoned vets to the progressive metalcore, electronic, prog (whatever other genre they bend) scene and continue to drop album after album. Their career started back in 2000 from the ashes of one of the greatest metalcore bands of all time (in my humble opinion), Prayer For Cleansing. As the band has progressed over the … Read more
