Enabler managed to make some big noise for themselves very quickly. after 2 eps and numerous splits the band got snatched up by the newly crust leaning Southern Lord. The question is after making such a big splash with these eps could the band manage to make nearly as big of a splash in the full length medium?

The band stretch just a little in opener "F.A.T.H.". starting with a slight clean guitar before slashing through everything with a screaming fit. This song has one of the more memorable vocal hooks in the album. Lead screamer Jeff Lohrber belts out the words "I wanna see this city burn down to the fucking ground" in a way that only a man burned by said town could muster. The thing is that is possibly the most memorable part of the song and arguably of the entire record. The band blasts through their songs with speed and dexterity. Little attention is paid to the idea of hooks or anything truly catchy. That isn't to ignore the gang chants that are especially good and quite pervasive in "Speechless" between that and the winding lead riff it helps pick the song up from being something simple.
The bands they could be compared to in the past haven't exactly changed within this recording. Rather, due to clean production and a slightly more metallic leaning guitar sound they sound like a mutated version of those bands. Where as in the past their influences could be clearly noted as simply as mentioning Trap Them and His Hero Is Gone. This time around the songs sound far too clean to entirely hold that comparison. While having cleaner sound can help in certain cases it doesn't seem to benefit Enabler.
