Terry Butler - of Six Feet Under and Death fame - has joined Obliterhate as their bassist as a result of Derrick Ramirez’s hectic schedule. Butler recently tracked bass for the band's upcoming debut, Blessing in Disgust, at Redneck Studios.

Jay Bennett, a former member of Wilco and solo recording artist, passed away over the weekend; Bennet was forty-five. Cause of death has yet to be revealed. Former Wilco cohort Jeff Tweedy made the following statement concerning the death of Bennett:
