Andrew Bird will release his new studio album, Noble Beast, on January 27th via Fat Possum Records. The album, currently in its final stages of mixing and mastering, is the follow up to the critically acclaimed Armchair Apocrypha.

Profound Lore Records has announced the signing of the recently revived YOB. The band is currently writing and will release their comeback album in early 2009.

Ryan's Hope have revamped their previous free EP, Chaos, with additional songs. You can download the new version at the band's website, located here. Prior to the EP, the band released Apocalypse in Increments in 2006.
Poison the Well have announced plans to precede their upcoming Ferret Records full-length with a three 7" release set. The first 7", titled I / III, will see a release on November 11th. The 7" will boast two tracks, "New Fast" and "Purple Sabbath."
Eagles of Death Metal's video for the single "Wannbe in L.A." has been made available online here. The song is taken from the band's upcoming Heart On.
Strike First Records has returned from a brief hiatus. The Facedown sub-label has announced three new signings to its fold. The bands joining up are Hope for the Dying, The Great Commission, and Through Solace. The bands will begin releasing their label debuts late this year and into next.

Neurosis have announced the first set of bands to appear at their Beyond the Pale 2009 event at Holland's Roadburn Festival. Bands confirmed to play are The Young Gods, Guapo, Akimbo, and U.S. Christmas. More bands will be announced in the near future.
