SPB: What is your favorite Disney soundtrack?
Espi Kvlt: My favorite Disney soundtrack is The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The songs on it are all so beautiful with powerful orchestral backing and incredible vocal parts ranging from standard Disney narrative tracks to operatic, spiritual numbers. The cornerstone to every good Disney soundtrack is the villain song, and while I have a lot of favorites, "Hellfire" is the absolute peak Disney villain song. It's sinister in ways other songs aren't, it tackles religion in a way other Disney villain songs don't, and it just gives me chills every single time I listen to it. I am also a huge fan of the book and the original musical the movie was based on, and all in all I just think it's the pinnacle of Disney soundtracks.
