Bridge Nine Records will be releasing Alcoa, the solo project from Defeater's Derek Archambault this fall. Archambault, who has been with Defeater for four years, has actually been working on his Alcoa project for longer and is planning a debut release later this year.

Commenting on the recording of the album with Aaron Neveu, Archambault explains:

Aaron and I are both big fans of 60's soul recordings and what the Dap-Tone label has done in the last ten years, so we wanted to give it a shot and have it sound like something between those and Springsteen's Wild, Innocent record...
