New York's Thinning the Herd have finished a studio session with Steve Albini for a late 2012 release. Freedom from the Known features ten new tracks from a revised line-up that includes new bassist Wes Edmonds and new drummer Rick Cimato (ex-Locked in a Vacancy).
The band will release the album on their Saint Marks Records label and is planning a tour for early 2013.
