Gainesville, FL's Grabass Charlestons have announced a name change to The Careeners, starting with an upcoming EP in 2013. For more details on the change, check out this interview with Dying Scene.

Bassist Dave Drobach simplifies the change as follows:

Only a name change. Grabass Charlestons = The Careeners. Same people, same instruments, same songs, same practice space, still no van, new name. The songs for the new Careeners EP were even recorded during the same session as the album 'Dale & The Careeners. We should probably make some stickers with the new name.

The band released Dale & the Careeners last fall on No Idea Records and is playing a show tonight at Loosey's in Gainesville.
