Matt Berninger (The National) and Brent Knopf (Menomena, Ramona Falls) have joined forces as El Vy, and have annouced they'll be releasing their debut album Return to the Moon in October, alongside a string of tour dates. The album deals with an alternate universe where Berninger never left his hometown of Cincinnati and where "a teenager's sense of rebellion is fed by the dark social politics of middle America." Return to the Moon is slated for release on October 30 via 4AD, and El Vy will be touring the US, Canada and Europe through November and December. The full list of tour dates are here. The album tracklist is after the jump.

I was drawn to Friend and Foe, the second full-length from the band, because of the superior artwork that they employ for the packaging of the record.
