Rise Against are teasing the track "Broken Dreams, Inc." today in a trailer for Dark Nights: Death Metal, a new 7-issue comic book series from DC. The track is part of the 16-song accompanying soundtrack that will be released by Loma Vista Recordings at a still unannounced date.

The comic series is a followup to the 2017-18 series Dark Nights: Metal

As for "Broken Dreams, Inc." and Rise Against, it's the band's first new song in three years and while the teaser appears in a trailer for the comic series today, the song itself will release next Wednesday, Sept. 16. The track is produced by Bill Stevenson, Jason Livermore, Andrew Berlin, and Chris Beeble.

"Zach, our guitarist, is probably the biggest comic book geek in our band. He's talked about how, along with his brother and father, they were all big DC fans - Batman, Robin, Superman, Aquaman, all the comic book series, the TV shows, and feature films. So, yes, we're all very excited about being part of this," says Tim McIlrath.

Hmm.. I'm sure this band have a large enough fanbase, I really am. I bet there's a ton of kids that love Rise Against (should that be xRxAx maybe?) and will refuse to hear anything bad about their music. However, as an outsider, I'm afraid I'm going to upset hardcore fans. I listened to this record a lot. I did … Read more
