Bad Astronaut will release a box set collection of their material, which includes vinyl reissues and a brand new 7", including their first new material in 15 years--following Twelve Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment from back in 2006--reviewed with aplomb by the still-a-toddler Scene Point Blank here.

The new 7" features the new song "Wide Awake" (spoiler: it's shared after the bump), plus an alternate version of "Violet."

The band featured Joey Cape (Lagwagon), Marko DeSantis (Surgarcult) and the late Derrick Plourde (Lagwagon), plus Todd Capps, Angus Cooke, and Thom Flowers.

The set is being issued by Fat Wreck Chords.
