Released on Oct. 6, we're sharing news of a new project called Nathy SG, who released a (sold out) lathe cut 7" single called "Corporate Lawyer/Broken Ankle Song." It is also available digitally (embed below) via Cowie Jaw Recordings.
the project is led by Nathan Stephens-Griffin, a founding member of Onsind, drummer in Fortitude Valley, and a member of Martha. Nathan SG is his first solo release and his first release in 16 years that does not include collaborator Denial Ellis (Martha/Onsind).
“I feel like I have loads of songs in me, and this project gives me an outlet for some of them, especially when Martha or Onsind are less active," the artist explains. Stephens-Griffin handles the majority of the instrumentation on the record, but also features guest: Laura Kovic (Fortitude Valley, Tigercats), Hannah Winter (Owl & Mouse, Common or Garden), Emma Winston (Owl & Mouse, Deerful) and Charlie Jamison (The Antiques Roadshow).
