After releasing two LPs in 2023 and 2024, Burp is back with a new EP next month. The Boston, MA based band play poppy, punky, emo-tinged tunes that focus on positive energy that isn’t afraid to slow it down once in a while.
Today Scene Point Blank is excited to debut the 2-something minute “ELW” from the new EP, Video Games & Cartoons, out on August 22.
“This is our attempt at writing a pop-rock song,” Nathan Richer says of the single. “Leo still tried to sneak some fancy stuff in there, but also kept it as diatonic as possible. Lyrically, it is a love letter to all of the people who have talked shit about us behind our backs.”
