Playing at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL this weekend, The Bouncing Souls just posted a new single called "Power," recorded with producer Will Wip.
"Pete showed up to the studio with a cool demo," vocalist Greg Attonito says in a press statement. "It was just him and his voice on guitar going through these ideas about power. All kinds of power. It was compelling.. landing somewhere between the lines of Jim Carrol, Bob Dylan, and HR. When it hit the whole group, it became a classic songwriting wrestling match with Will Yip officiating. How do we turn this cool idea into a Souls tune? Along the way I think we were able to clarify some of the gold in that demo and make it shine brighter. We all have power and we’re all stronger together when we’re searching for the light.”
In addition to Riot Fest, the band is on the road with H20, with support from Smoking Popes and JER. In December, the two bands hit the raod again, joined on those dates by Dave Hause & the Mermaid and Mercy Union.
