Small Doses will release a new 7” EP called Rodeo at the end of the month. But you don't have to wait until Oct. 28 to hear new material. SPB is excited to debut “Actually, This Is My First Rodeo” today.

You may remember the band from our stream of their debut a year ago. This new 4-song follow-up comes out on Snappy Little Numbers.

Based in Asheville, NC, Small Doses came together as a reunion, of sorts, with founders Matt and John deciding to collaborate again approximately 30 years after their high school band together. This time they added Crystal and Isaac and released their debut.

On Rodeo the band continue their forceful take on pop-structed punk. It’s short and hook-driven but with some serious bite. It’s just like riding that angry bull. Or, um, based on the cover art, maybe it’s more like a raccoon riding a dog.

Besides Small Doses, members have played in Off With Their Heads, Dawn of the Dude, Zombie Queen, and more.

Buy it from Snappy Little Numbers or bandcamp.
