Ernest Jenning Record Co. Signs Five New Bands

Posted by Michael on August 14, 2009

Ernest Jenning Record Co. has announced the signing of five new bands to its roster.  Here is the latest:

WILD YAKS: The best live band in NY? It's possible. Currently a 4 piece, (bass, drum, 2xloud guitars) with all members on vocals, its sorta like all the triumphant parts of life affirmed by someone screaming in your face and giving you a hug that knocks the wind out of your chest. Saw them by mistake, fell asleep thinking about how good they were, woke up needing to find out more, chased them around for weeks, and now they are part of the family. Straight Thrilling. Debut EP, "10 Ships (Don't Die Yet!)" - coming ASAP. TITLE TRACKS: Fantastic, hyper-catchy power pop from John Davis of Washington, DC / 1/2 of Georgie James / 1/3 of Q and Not U. Sold? Debut single is out now on Dischord, we're doing the full-length "It Was Easy" in early 2010. Includes a cover of Springsteen's "Tougher Than The Rest" featuring Tracyanne Campbell from Camera Obscura! So good! CUFF THE DUKE: Already Toronto legends in their own right, we are bringing them to the USA. 4 albums in, as well as stints backing up Hayden live and on record. We've been fans for awhile and are going to be releasing their brand new album "Way Down Here" in January 2010. Hints of Wilco and Neil Young, along with hooks that linger on and on. MISS TK & THE REVENGE: Back from the beaches of Asbury, Miss TK have jumped on-board to bring you an amazing new 7" followed by their 3rd LP of dance-tastic jams. With members of Lifetime and Zero Zero, there's some serious pedigree, and the new tunes are as astounding as expected. No Biterz b/w Future Power 7" will be out before the end of the year (and is available digitally RIGHT NOW) , and 2010 brings "Unfinshed Bizness In Partyland." BLOOD WARRIOR: We are so excited to welcome an old friend back into the fold. Blood Warrior is O'Death's Greg Jamie, along with wonderful new friends Joey Weiss (Supermonster) and Kristin Kellas. Folky, scary, heartbreakingly epic. Their first EVER shows are coming at the end of August along with a debut 7" - and we have a whole record in the final mixing stages for early 2010. Oh, and it's amazing.
