Jello Biafra Celebrates Limbaugh’s Demise with New Single
Jello Biafra - "Blunder Blubber"

These days, you can find Bay Area hardcore legend Jello Biafra as politically charged as ever, elevating his Alternative Tentacles label as well as fronting Jello Biafra and The Guantanamo School of Medicine. And in true Dead Kennedys fashion, Jello and the group have released a new single, “Blunder Blubber,” in response to the recent death of conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh.

As you would expect, Biafra draws the throughline from Reagan to Trump, rails against Fox News and conservative media, and emphasizes his support for reinstating the FCC Fairness Doctrine. These are fully formed convictions that have been progressing for years, as Biafra describes here:

“So ding dong, Rush is gone. One down, 77 million to go. Enjoy the moment and I hope you dig the song. I wrote it clear back when Clinton was president, and the writing was on the wall. I was hoping I would never have to use it at all, but we sorta had no choice but to update and perform it now.”

Stream the single below. Pre-order the new album from Jello Biafra and The Guantanamo School of Medicine, Tea Party Revenge Porn, on the Alternative Tentacles store.

Heisenberg's uncertainty principle dictates that nothing in this universe has a truly defined position or trajectory and by trying to define it, the momentum of the object becomes even more unstable and unpredictable. The lesser known certainty principle is this: there will never be a Dead Kennedys reunion with Jello Biafra at the helm. Ever. It's not going to happen. … Read more
