Pussy Riot freed

Early last week Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina of Pussy Riot were released from prison in Russia. The two women spent nearly two years in prison following a 40-second performance. Hunter Heaney, Executive Director of The Voice Project, who worked on their release, offered the following statement:

We all recognize that the whole amnesty program is a PR move by Putin, likely of course a bit of image clean up prior to the Olympics.
