Mewithoutyou are in the midst of writing for their follow-up to 2006's Brother, Sister. Here is a statement from guitarist Mike Weiss:
We have not started recording yet but the writing is going perfectly. So far it is sounding very different than the first two records, very mellow but there is room for intensity if we need to add it in. We wanted to make sure the songs are beautiful on their own and then add bigger sounds if necessary rather than writing intense music and then worrying whether it goes overboard or not.
