Danzig Signs With The End Records, New Album Due Out In June

Posted by Jon E. on April 10, 2010

Danzig has inked a deal with The End Records and will release his new album “Deth Red Saboath” through the label on June 22nd via his Evilive imprint. The outing was tracked over the course of 2009 with Tommy Victor of Prong/Ministry fame handling the guitar duties, while Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative and Seventh Void took care of the drums.

Danzig himself handled the bulk of the bass playing for the album, which will feature the songs “Black Candy“, “The Revengeful“, “Pyre Of Souls” and more. The song “On A Wicked Night” will serve as the first single from the release, while Danzig had the following to say about the album:

“I think that fans will really dig this new album. I’ve been told several times that the album has a cool vitality to it, it sounds energized, and I got that feeling when I was recording it. I wanted it to have an organic sound, bigger and thicker, so I went out and bought some 1970’s Kustom tuck ‘n roll bass amps to play some of the guitar parts through. You’ll hear real reverb, real tremolo on this album, which sounds completely different than the stuff that’s done with computer chips.”

Extensive touring is being planned in support of the release with more details to be announced soon.
