Billy Bragg enlists Rosanne Cash, Joe Henry for 2011 album

Posted by Jon E. on September 7, 2010

Billy Bragg spoke to Billboard about his next album and follow up to 2008's Mr. Love and Justice. He is currently collaborating with Rosanne Cash who he calls "a great songwriter [and] a really whipsmart person." He and Cash are currently exchanging bits of songs and having producer Joe Henry "collate [them] into something we'll enjoy." He compares his collaborations here with his previous work with Wilco when he worked with the band to adapt unrecorded Woody Guthrie lyrics into the two Mermaid Avenue albums.
