Jakob Nowell Wants You To Enter His Castle

Jakob Nowell, who just recently took over lead duties of Sublime to fill in his late father's place, will also be releasing his debut solo album, Enter: The Castle under the moniker Jakobs Castle on April 12th via Epitaph Records. He enlisted the help of Jon Joseph (Børns, Caroline Rose) to help unearth new sounds he describes as "affected cyber ska weirdness." You can check out the lead single "Catch Me" below:

 

On the project, Nowell comments:

I see the spirit of punk to be alive in what people today call hyper pop or bedroom pop, even if it’s not always aggressive. I find that spirit of DIY ingenuity and trying to challenge social norms to be present in those types of artists today.” 

Jakobs Castle just recently embarked on a full U.S. tour with G. Love and Special Sauce. Dates below:
