Following up 2024’s near-perfect Gay Boredom comes Lub Dub by Oregon’s The Dumpies. Recorded in Austin TX at the BBQ Shack by Jason Morales and Mike Vasquez, this is their second release on Dirt Cult Records. Bassist Tim Janchar, whose long running label Hovercraft Records is co-releasing the LP says “Lub Dub is our body horror record. Kind of like how everyone thinks the name Dumpies is a reference to taking a shit instead of getting dumped, the title might be misleading. It’s not ‘lub dub’ like “we love dub”. It’s ‘lub dub’ like hearing your own heartbeat in your pillow, wide awake at 4am.”

Accompanying the album’s release is a video for their song “Life In Hell”. The Dumpies’ newest member, guitarist Micky Rivera, describes their DIY approach to the video’s production as “a compilation of cellphone footage recorded by friends and members of The Dumpies throughout their tour in Mexico, 2025. The music video only uses a fraction of the photos and videos taken on this tour, highlighting the frenetic and blissful feeling of touring with a group of your closest friends."

Available on vinyl and digital.
