Anti-Flag are in Hamburg, DE tonight, kicking off a European tour. First they will play shows with the Donots, followed by the Punk in Drublic tour, ultimately ending up back home in the USA where they will play at Warped Tour events in New Jersey and California.

The politically-minded band has created a short documentary (~15 minutes long), directed by Bruno Fritsche, called Power To the Peaceful. Check it out after the bump. The band explains:

This piece documents our collective search for empathy in the waking days of Trump's presidency. Traveling Europe during the ever present rise of fascism, scapegoating of immigrants and refugees, and our scenes wanting to assert our voice in opposition to antiquated ideology. There was a fervor in the streets, the songs, the shows, a search for a place to focus our anger, frustration, fear.

American Spring
Spinefarm Records (2015)

Barack Obama recently apologised to the families of two Western hostages killed during US drone strikes in January in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The use of drones is nothing new, they've been used since George W Bush was commander in chief, and it seems the narrative of American politics never greatly changes. The only thing that does change is the level … Read more

It takes a lot for me to completely lose faith in some of my favorite bands, and I came pretty close to completely giving up on Anti-Flag after the disaster that was The Bright Lights of America. My faith was then restored a bit after hearing that they left RCA Records and joined the ever growing roster at Side One … Read more

A Benefit for Victims of Violent Crime
A-F (2007)

Anti-Flag has always been a band about raising awareness, but usually the subject is tied to our country's government in some manner. The band continues on with this EP, but instead of enlightening Americans about the evils of the U.S. government the band is raising awareness and monetary funds to help victims of violent crimes, something that hits close to … Read more
