Pallbearer has announced a North American tour in late winter/early spring, the Foundations of Burden North American Tour 2026. The band will play their record of the same name in full (released in 2025, a new take on the 2014 original), stopping in the northeast, midwest, and more, joined by Knoll on much of the tour.

The band revisited their 2014 album last year, rebuilding it

“In the time since then, we have played most of the songs from Foundations more times than we can count, and they remain some of our favorites,” says bassist/vocalist Joseph D. Rowland. “The songs have grown with us. And while we hold a deep love and attachment to what we created in 2014, we also gained a fuller understanding of how we would want to re-present them if we had a chance. After years of discussion, listening and learning, we found ourselves in the position to fulfill that vision.”

Forgotten Days
Nuclear Blast (2020)

Pallbearer’s evolution from their early days as a dark, funeral doom leaning band into a prog-embracing emotive force is well documented in their back catalogue and as Forgotten Days expands the horizons of their sound, Pallbearer open up their hearts for all the world to see. This record is vulnerable and honest in its humanity and much like their previous … Read more

Heartless
Profound Lore Records/Nuclear Blast Records (2017)

Pallbearer’s evolution over the last seven or so years has been one that seems natural and organic, with each record building on what came before and giving the Arkansas based band a step forward on the ladder towards greatness. Their demo of 2010 introduced a band indebted to doom greats Black Sabbath, but the inclusion of a cover of Billie … Read more

Foundations of Burden
Profound Lore (2014)

When Pallbearer released their debut album, Sorrow and Extinction, I was stunned. And of course the expectations for the sophomore album of the doom metal act are now much higher, but they are still … Read more
