The Action, billed as "Canada's first punk band," has announced a ''The 50th anniversary Tour!" in 2026 tour, featuring original vocalist Ted Axe joined by a new lineup of musicians, who will play the band's 1978 set list.
After touring with the Ramones and The Stranglers in 1978, the band released their debut in 1978 (Montreco Records) and consequently broke up the following year.
The band briefly reformed in 2009 but did not continue due to the original band members (Axe, Scott Shot and brothers Paul,John and Michael Phantom) all living in separate cities at the time.
