SPB premiere: "Crystal Lake" video from Summer Homes
Summer Homes - Nocturnes

Today SPB has the pleasure of debuting a song from ambient drone project Summer Homes (Daniel Radin). Titled "Crystal Lake," the video is off his new album Nocturnes, set for release next week on August 28.

The album explores Radin's hometown, and his directed the video himself, offering this description of the content.

I grew up in a town outside of Boston called Newton. Growing up in a suburb instilled an appreciation for quiet and stillness that I’ve carried with me to this day. I’ve always felt that ambient and drone music can capture an emotion or place more precisely than words are able to, which is why I chose it as a medium to capture the mood of different important places from my youth. There is a certain energy in the calm of a suburb at night. The forthcoming album, Nocturnes, is an attempt to capture that energy and so it seemed a natural choice to pair one of the songs with scenes from these places as a video.
