Slits documentary coming to DVD

Previously released in the UK, Here To Be Heard: The Story Of THE SLITS was recently released in North America by MVD Entertainment Group in a deluxe DVD package and digital formats.


Formed in London in 1976, the band is credited as being the first all girl punk band.


The documentary features input from former members Viv Albertine, Ari Up, Palmolive, Tessa Pollitt, Bruce Smith, Hollie Cook, plus Vivien Goldman (NYU's Punk Professor), Don Letts (former manager and documentarian), Paul Cook (Sex Pistols drummer), and more.


Vocalist Ari Up passed away in 2010.
